Caren Longsworth is a licensed clinical social worker, who has worn many hats during her 20-year career in social services; case manager, family services counselor, outpatient therapist, outreach social worker, trainer, assessor, program director, regional director, and clinical director. In 1994, Caren received her BA degree in sociology from Queens College of the City University of New York. In 1997, she received her MSW degree from Hunter College of the City University of New York. After graduating from Hunter, Caren returned to South Florida and worked for various agencies. Caren has specialized in youth and family services, trauma-informed care and treatment, sexual abuse, juveniles with sexual behavior problems, dependency court cases and substance abuse services. For the past 12 years, Caren has provided extensive clinical supervision, program coordination, and evaluation, staff development, and training on evidence-based practices, assessment, and treatment. Her passion has always been in helping those in need. She believes in supporting not only the consumers that need services but the staff who provides services to those in need.
